A student questioned, "If light travels in a straight line, why is rainbow curved?"
This student believed that rainbow streams from the sun, like sun ray.
That's not true.
Sunlight travels in a straight line, "bounced off" rain drops through total internal reflection and the dispersed light spectrum travels in straight line into our eyes.
Till now, scientists have not fully understood all aspects of rainbow.
Rainbow, by itself, is an interesting field of study.
